General updates

• JW – LW is starting org-level discussions repo. I think this is a really good thing. Expect email spam for a bit, though.

• JW – I think Venkata’s solution on the GH issue is roughly suitable to be our “final FB fix”. I’ll spend maybe one more hour on this today and then open a PR for review. In openff-forcebalance I anticipate that a lot of it will be wholly removed and replaced with interchange.

  • MT – Agree. FB architecture is kinda wonky and I’m not going to fundamentally change it initially. But eventually I’d like to get to replacing that.

  • MT – Building up a good test base, once that’s more complete I’ll be more comfortable making structural changes.

• JW – Lead team formally approved up to $1k for a GPU. If there’s trouble getting that we’re open to getting cloud compute, or priority time on the GPU queue at UCI.

  • MT – Sounds good, I’ll let you know if I can’t get local stuff set up.

• MT – I wasn’t aware of this “product owner” system. I’d appreciate if this was communicated/defined better.

• JW – Gotcha. I’ll be more explicit about what this means when I talk to JM.
